Armin Essick,16, of Hawarden.formely of Spencer was killed in a one car accident Dec. 12, near Hawarden. Funeral services were held on Dec, 14 at the Warner Funeral Home in Spencer with Rev. Keith Purscen of the First Christian Church of Spencer officiating. Another service was also held on Dec 15, at the Evangelical Church of North America in Moville with the Rev. James Porter officiating. Burial service were held at the Arlington Cemetery in Moville.

Armin was born Mar. 6, 1957 in Los Angeles. He had lived in. He had lived in Sioux City,Moville and Spencer before moving to Hawarden with his parents two months ago. Armin was a student at West Sioux Community High School in Hawarden and was a member of the Future Farmer of America.

Surrvivors include the parents, Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Essick of Hawarden; three brothers, Bruce,Ernest and Derrick, all at home; and two sisters, Cathryn and Elsie, both home.
