Mrs. William Jahde,66, of Hawarden died Sept. 1 at Sioux City hospital. Funeral services were held Sept 4, at the Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden with Rev. Perry Brown officiating the services. Burial was held at the Grace Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Jahde, the former Laura Krusen, was born Feb. 3, 1907 in Waverly, Kan. She married Martin Hemmington on March 3, 1925 and she moved to the Hawarden area from Wakonda,SD. 1952. She married to Mr. Jahde on Nov. 16, 1953 at Boulder, Colo. He died on May 21, 1972

Survivors include two daughers, Mrs. Burdette (Marian)Orr of Wakonda and Mrs. Jack (Iris) Lamb of Sioux City; Three sons, Richard and Boyd Hemmingson of Centerville,SD and David Hemmingson of Sioux City; her mother Mrs. John (Myrtle) Krusen of Hawarden; a sister, Mrs. Blanch Haddican of Hawarden; a brother, Muke Krusen of Horniek; a step son, Gerald Jahde of Aurora, Ill; 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren
