Leo Charles Larson was born June 24, 1931 at Alcester, South Dakota, the son of William and Esther Larson and entered into death March 15, 1973 at the age of 41 years, 8 months and 21 days.

During his childhood and after the death of his father, he made his home with foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar F. Anderson at Alcester, who cared for him until his maturity. Mr. Larson was married to Doris Jacobs at Union Creek Lutheran Church near Akron on July 2, 1952. Four children were born to this union. On Feb. 11, 1952 he entered the United State Army and served in the European Occupation Force. He received his discharge with the rank of Corporal on Jan 30, 1954. At that time he returned to Alcester and farmed southeast of town until his death. Mr Larson was baptized and confirmed in the Peace Lutheran Church at Alcester and was a member of the Union Creek Lutheran Church of Akron. He was also a member of the Alcester Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; one son , Blake; three daughters Rhonda, Marlene and Leasa; his mother, Mrs. Ed Ursprung of Pomona, California and his Foster Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar F. Anderson of Alcester. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
