Postmaster Vanden Burg was called to Omaha last Monday morning to attend the funeral of his father, who died at his home in tha tcity, last Sunday morning. Mr. Vanden Burg was about eixty eight years of age at the time of his death, and was well known to Sioux County people, having resided in this city a number of years ago. During his residence here he was engaged in the general merchandise business in partnership with his son G. Vande Burg, and will be well remembered by a large circle of friends and acquaintances who will regret to hear of the old Gentleman's death.
(this was found to be Lambertus Vanden Berg b. 17 Apr 1831 in the Netherlands died 9? Jan 1899 in Omaha NE. His wife was Johanna Muldery and parents were Gerrit G. Vanden Burg 1802-1879 and Riekje Lamberts 1795-1834)
