Passed Away at Sibley
Peter J Ellerbroek passed away very suddenly at his home at Sibley, Wednesday, October 16,1946 at the age of 74 years. He had been in the garden digging carrots and talking to his brother. After the brother left, Mrs. Ellerbroek went into the house to rest and said to his wife that he felt tired and retired. His wife who was busy with her work upon returning had asked him what he would like for lunch and getting no answer she investigated found he had passed away. Death was due to a blood clot. Funeral service were held Saturday afternoon at Sibley and burial at the same place.His first wife was Callie Thomas sister of Mrs. C.B. Houlton who passed away in 1931 and to this union one daughter, Lorna (Mrs. Wm Louneman) of Adrain, Minn.was born who survives. He married in 1944 to Mrs. Effie Johnson who also survives.
