ARCHER—Funeral services for John De Boer, 80, were held Dec. 6,1985 at 1:30 p.m. in the Archer
Reformed Church. The Rev. David Reck officiated with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Primghar. Mr. De Boer passed away at tea homeDec 3. The Sanborn Funeral Home Service was in charge of the arrangements.
The son of Meinart and Augie (Rusch) DeBoer, he was born Aug. 26, 1905 in Doon. He attended rural school near Rock Valley. He married Margaret Ten Kley Jan. 7,1927 in Archer. Following their marriage they resided in Rock Valley, Sanborn, and were currently living on a farm near Archer. During his lifetime, he was engaged in farming.
He is survived by his wife Margaret, Archer; a son and daughter-in-law, Maynard and Betty DeBoer; a daughter and son-in-law, Bill and Nellie Nels, Santa Barbara, CA; grandchildren, John, Tim, Sharon, Donald, Mark and, Connie DeBoer; and two sisters;. Hattie Van Wyk, Hull; and Annie Jones, Sioux Falls, SD.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and one sister.
