James C. De Boer
Mr. James C. De Boer passed away Wednesday morning at the Methodist Hospital at Sioux City. He had reached the age of 46 years, 2 months and 24 days. On May 28, 1940, he was united in marriage to Grace Sneller and to this union five children were born: Darrel, now a student at Ames, Merle, Owen, Evan and Janet, all at home. Besides his wife, he is further survived by his mother, Mrs. Henry De Boer, and the following brothers and sisters: Everett of Maurice, Harriet (Mrs. Elmer Vermeer of Sioux Center, Florence (Mrs. Robert Nykamp) of Boulder, Colo., Phillis (Mrs. Harlan Mulder) of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Robert of Grand Rapids, Mich. He is also survived by one grandchild. His father preceded him in death on August 11, 1960.
Mr. James De Boer was an active member of the community and had served on the Consistory of the First Reformed Church. His passing at an early age is mourned by a host of relatives and friends.
