Henrietta De Boer, 84, of Sioux Center, died Friday, August 9, in a Sioux City hospital following a long illness.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 12, at the First Reformed Church with Dr. Thurman Rynbrandt officiating . Burial was in Memory Gardens under the direction of Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.
Mrs. De Boer, the former Henrietta Borgman was born April 7, 1901, in Sioux Center. She married George De Boer on May 27, 1927, in Sioux Center. The couple farmed in Sioux County until they retired in 1965. Mr. De Boer died Jan. 1, 1979. She was an active member of the First Reformed Church.
Survivors include two sons, Theran of Doon, and Irwin of Sioux Center; two daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Norma) Korver of Maurice and Mrs. Tunis (Ila) Cleveringa of Sioux Center; four sisters, Mrs. John (Mina) Poppen of Sioux Center, Grayce Borgman of Santa Monica, Calif., Betty and Bernice Borgman of Bellingham, Wash.; a brother, Melvin Borgman of Sioux Center; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren
