Mrs. Fannie Duistermars, age 92, of Orange City, passed away Monday, Sept. 7 on arrival at Floyd Valley Hospitals in LeMars.
Fannie was born Sept. 25, 1894 at Alton, the daughter of Pier Faber & Clara De Vries Faber. On Feb. 18, 1917, she married William Duistermars at Orange City. They farmed at Carnes until about 1955 when they retired to Orange City. Mr. Duistermars passed away in 1971 at Orange City.
Mrs. Duistermars was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church of Orange City and the church's women's organizations. She was also a member of Ladies Zangkoor.
Survivors include two brothers, Jack Faber of Hull, and Sam Faber of Prinsburg, MN; one sister, Mrs. Martin (Ann) Bolluyt of Starbuck, MN, and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Agnes Dykstra and two brothers, Steve and Charles Faber.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 10 at the First Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. Ralph A. Pontier officiating. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.
