Funeral services were held Saturday at Glendale, CA, for William Duistermars, 46, former Orange City and Sioux Center resident. Burial also was at Glendale. Mr. Duistermars died Thursday after an illness of one week.
He was born December 24, 1910, in Sioux Center and was graduated from Orange City high school and attended Northwestern Junior College in Orange City.
Mr. Duistermars, a veteral of World War II, had resided in California for the last 15 years.
Survivors include the widow, Lucille; his mother, Mrs. Alice Duistermars of Redwood City, CA; five sisters, Mrs. Viola Olson of Sioux City; Mrs. Katherine Post of Tracy, CA; Mrs. Margaret Ver Steeg of Norwalk, CA, and Mrs. Madeline Eberhart and Mrs. Bea Dawson, both of Redwood City; and a brother, Pete, serving in the Navy and stationed at San Diego, CA.

Lived at 3855 Altura, La Crescenta, CA, died at The Hospital of the Good Samaritan in Los Angeles, CA from an acute kidney infection. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 19 in The Wee Kirk 'O The Heather and burial was made in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
For many years he was employed by the Chase National Bank in New York City, but was called into the service in 1941. After WWII he located in Los Angeles where he went into the air conditioning and refrigeration business. At the time of his death he was Vice President of United Air-Conditioning Corporation of Los Angeles.
Married September 26, 1935. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Donald Duistermars, an optometrist, who died in Orange City in 1928.
