Fanny Louise Dekker, 86, of Hawarden, formerly of Ireton died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Hawarden. Funeral service was Nov. 2 at the Christian Reformed Church in Ireton with the Rev. Ron Sprik and the Rev. Peter Brouwer officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton. Porter Funeral Home in Ireton was in charge of arrangements.

Fanny Louise Dekker was born July 28, 1915 in Lucter, Kan. to Titus & Fina (Dekker) Kneubel. She attended Ireton Grade School. She married John H. Dekker on May 1, 1936 at Ireton.

She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church, Martha Circle and Ladies Aid.

Survivors include her husband, John, four sons, James of Sioux City, Robert of Sun Lakes, AZ, Timothy of Sloan, and Gregory of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Marilynn Wabeke of Ruthton, MN; daughter-in-law, Lorene Wruck of LeMars; two sisters, Helen Van Bruggen of DeMott, IN, and Laverne Van Zyl of Lansing, IL; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John; and six sisters, Trennie, Lena, Ollie, Henrietta, Jeanette and Christine.
