Steven James De Kock, 20, of Sioux City, died on Wednesday, June 28, in Sioux City. Funeral services were at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center on Saturday, July 1, the Rev. Donald Barnes officiating. Burial was at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center.

De Kock was born in Sioux City on December 24, 1974, the son of Derold & Marie (Winterswyk) De Kock. He was graduated from Sioux Center Community High School in 1993 and was employed by Minerva's Restaurant in Sioux City. He enjoyed boating and water skiing.

Survivors include his parents of Sioux Center; a sister and her husband, Melanie & Jim Tentinger, of Merrill; a niece and a nephew, Bethani & Ross; a grandmother, Mrs. Fred (Effie) Winterswyk, of Ontario, California; a step-grandmother, Mrs.Marion (Esther) De Kock, of Doon; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Marion De Kock, Senior, and Fred Winterswyk, Senior.

Casket bearers were Don Anderson, Steve Draayer, Joe Kayes, Ken Matheis, Jeremy De Jong, Jason Johnson, Chris Vonk and Ralph Lammers.
