Jeannette Ver Hoef (nee Meyer) passed away Saturday afternoon in Sioux Center at the age of eighty-seven years. On November 29, 1923, in Boyden. she was united in marriage to Walter Ver Hoef who preceded her in death on December 21 1983. Throughout their married life they had lived primarily in the Chicago area and in Sioux Center. She had been a member of the Calvary Reformed Church in Chicago and was currently a member of the Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center. She had been a resident of the nursing wing of the Community Hospital since 1980.
Her survivors include her sons: Jim of Fremont, California; and Ed of Potomac, Maryland; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
