Burial in the Memory Gardens Cemetery on Friday, December 23, 1983.
Walter Ver Hoef passed away Wednesday in Sioux City at the age of eighty-four years. On November 29, 1923, in Boyden, he was united in marriage to Jeannette Meyers who now survives. To this union two sons were born; Jim of Corpus Christi, Texas and Ed of Potomac, Maryland, He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one brother, Clarence of Sioux Center, Iowa, and one sister, Jennie, Mrs. Gerrit Brinks of Boyden Iowa. Walt had lived in Chicago from 1942 to 1965 when he was in the insurance business. In 1965 he moved to Sioux Center where he retired and actively pursued his interests in sound recording and photography
