Clarence (Click) Ver Hoef was born July 12, 1911, at Hull, Iowa, to James and Lydia (Grooters) Ver Hoef. He lived his youth and attended school in Boyden, I., He graduated from Boyden High School.
Clarence was united in marriage to Janna Bloemendaal on June 3, 1937, in Orange City, Iowa.
He worked at Chevrolet Garage in Sioux Center from 1937-1949. He owned and operated Sioux Body Shop in Sioux Center for twenty-seven years, retiring in 1976.
He was a member of Central Reformed Church, where he sang in the church choir for fifty years. He also sang with the Senior Saints for seven years. He was always busy in church activities.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Joanna; one daughter, Carol and Bernard Karssen, of Springfield, Missouri; one son, Dan and Donna Ver Hoef, of Sioux Center, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Jennie (Ver Hoef) Brinks; three brothers, Walter, Sam and Bernard; and two step-brothers, Gerrit and Amos Roetman.
