Marlene Fay Dekkers, daughter of John & Rose Dekkers, passed away just before noon Monday, August 3. She died at the age of 14 years, 9 months and 10 days. Marlene was one of triplets and early in life it was discovered that she suffered a heart deficiency and therefore had never enjoyed perfect health. This fall Marlene was to have entered the eight grade at the Christian School.

Besides her parents she leaves to mourn three brothers and one sister: Anthony John; Maxine May; Marvin Jay and Warren Lloyd. Also her aged grandmother, Mrs. Jake Kooima of Rock Valley, Iowa. Marlene's death early in life has brought sorrow into the hearts of many of her friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon, August 6 at 12:45 at the home and 1:30 at the Lebanon Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Peter Vander Weide officiating. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.

The pall bearers will be Elmer Zomermaand, Robert Haverhals, Robert Kooima, Jack Kooima, Marvin Fedders and Le Roy Vander Esch.
