Charles Mitchell of this place received the sad tidings of the death of his brother-in-law, Layton Hubbard, last week. Mr. Hubbard was a brakeman and fell between the cars while attempting to step from one to another. The train passed over him cutting off both legs close to the body and he lived but a short time. The funeral was held at Alcester.
