Funeral services for William Van't Hul of Hull were held Friday at the First Reformed Church at Hull with Rev. Benj. Ver Steeg officiating, assisted by Rev. Wayne Lemmen. A men's chorus sang "Memories" and "Going Down the Valley." Pallbearers were M. Intveld, H. F. Van Engen, E. Dykstra, N. Slager, H. Beckman and C. Stienstra. Burial was in the Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Van't Hul was born on August 27, 1894, and died on Tuesday, April 27, at his home at the age of 59 years.

Survivors are his wife, and the following children: Donald and Lloyd of Hartford, S. Dak.; Elmer of Sioux Center; Genelda, Mrs. L. Niewendorp of Sheldon; and Milton and Diane at home and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: John, Jake and Herman; Grace, Mrs. Henry Kosters; Tracy, Mrs. Harry Vander Schaaf; Fannie, Mrs. John Ten Haken and Coba, Mrs. Abe Vande Garde.

He was preceded in death by a son Harold and a brother Bert.

About a month ago this community heard of the severe illness of Mr. William Van't Hul. Much to the sorrow of his many relatives and friends, X-rays revealed that there was no hope for his recovery. He suffered much during his last weeks and often expressed his longing for his Savior to come to take him home. His death came on Tuesday, April 27. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 30.

Mr. Van't Hul was born near Hull on August 27, 1894. His parents were Fanny and Dries Van't Hul. He was married to Nellie Vos on February 28, 1917, by Rev. Schilstra of Doon, Iowa. To this union were born seven children, namely: Donald of Hartford, South Dakota; Harold who preceded him in death in 1947; Elmer, of Sioux Center, Iowa; Lloyd of Hartford, South Dakota; Jenelda, Mrs. Leonard Niewendorp, of Ashton, Iowa; Milton and Diana at home and nine grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death are his parents, a young brother Frank, and his eldest brother Bert. Living sisters and brothers are Grace, Mrs. H. W. Kosters, Tracy Mrs. Harry Vander Schaaf of Hull, Mr. John Van't Hul, of Pipestone, Minn., Mr. Jake Van't Hul of Blue Island, Ill., Mr. Herman Van't Hul of Sioux Center, Fanny, Mrs. John Ten Haken of Hull, and Coba, Mrs. Abe Vande Garde of Boyden.
