GOLDIE DE JONG
July 28, 1897---- November 22, 1984
GoldieDe Jong, 87, of Sioux Center, died Thursday, November 22 in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the First Christina Reformed Church. The Rev. John Hellinga officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetary in Orange City. Family visitation was from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.
Mrs. De Jong, the former Goldie Van Roekel, was born July 28, 1897 in Ogilvie, Minn. She married Herbert De Jong, March 14, 1918 in Hull. He died Dec. 10. 1976.
Survivors include three sisters, Theodora Guest of Winslow, Ark., Mrs. Louis (Hermina) Bouma and Al Van Roekel both of Sioux center.
