Hendrika Van Vliet, nee Campagne, was born on August 4, 1895, at Sioux Center, Iowa. She graduated from the Christian School of this town. She served as telephone operator from April 1st, 1913 to Dec. 1st, 1917.

She joined the Christian Reformed Church in April, 1917. On August 9, 1918 she was married to William Van Vliet. The family lived in Rock Valley for two years, after which they moved to Hull where they have lived since. On October 5, 1920, their son and only child Stanley Bertram, was born.

After a brief illness she departed this life on May 17, 1933. Mrs. Van Vliet was a most devoted wife and mother. Her life was examplary. She lived her confession.

She leaves to mourn her demise her husband, her son, her parents, mr.and Mrs. S. Campagne of this place, her brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Campagne and their son Stanley Everett, her mother-in-law, Mrs. P. Van Vliet of Sheldon, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. C. Faber of Sheldon, and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at Hull on Friday afternoon, at 1:30 at the residence and 2:00 at the Christian Reformed Church. The services will be conducted by Dr. R. L. Haan and Rev. J. M. Dykstra.
