Hawarden Independent, October 26, 1944

Andrew Murry Everhart, 82, former Hawarden resident, died at the Holiness Mission in Sioux City Friday, October 13. For many years he was a sheep rancher at Kimball, Neb., but for the last three years he resided at the Holiness Mission.

His remains were brought to Hawarden on Monday, October 16, and burial was in Grace Hill cemetery, Rev. Rounshousen of Sioux City had charge of the services at the grave. Clark Everhart of Chicago, Miss Isabelle Everhart and Mrs. Cora Waters of Sioux City, Mr. & Mrs. Ed Everhart of Rock Valley and Mr. & Mrs. E. Miller Everhart of Moville, accompanied the body here.

Mr. Everhart left Hawarden many years ago, but was well known by many here. He is survived by two children, Clark Everhart of Chicago and Mrs. C. J. Miller of Monrovia, Calif, two sisters, Mrs. Cora Waters and Miss Isabelle Everhart of Sioux City and one brother, Edgar Everhart of Rock Valley.
