Funeral services for Ed Everhart, music supervisor at Rock Valley, were held at the Methodist church there, Tuesday afternoon. Burial was at Hartford, SD.

Mr. Everhart was born near Maurice in Sioux County, February 28, 1876. Later he came to Hawarden where he was graduated from high school. He was graduated from Morningside college, Sioux City, and took advanced work at Columbia university.

He married Frances L. Wintersteen, also of Hawarden, June 28, 1900. He served as superintendent of the schools at Tyndall, Wessington Springs and Parker, SD. Later he retired from teaching and took up farming.

He again returned to teaching during a shortage of teachers and in 1944 he became music supervisor of the Rock Valley schools.

He is survived by the widow and one sister, Mrs. Cora Waters of Sioux City.
