Hadley H. Walker, 81, of Hawarden died Wednesday, March 13, at the Hawarden hospital.
Services were at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 18, at First Baptist Church in Hawarden with burial in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Visitation was held at Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.Mr. Walker was born on October 2, 1909, at Maries County, MO, the son of Alfred & Elizabeth (Branson) Walker. He was baptized in 1930 by Rev. Brad Case at Cedar City, MO, and ordained as a deacon in the Baptist Church at age 24.
He married Fannie Tipton on April 25, 1926, at Vienna, MO. Together they farmed for one year at Lane's Prairie, MO. In 1927 they moved to Jefferson City where he worked at Oberman's Manufacturing Defense Plant until 1946. He then was employed at the Goldcup Bakery. They moved to Hawarden in 1960. Hadley owned and operated the Walker Shoe Service until his retirement in 1977.
Mr. Walker was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hawarden and was very active as a member of the Gideons.
Survivors include his wife, Fannie; sons, Hadley, Jr. "Bud" and his wife, Janet of Arcadia, FL, and Jerry and his wife, Kathleen of Plainfield, IL; daughters, Wilma Heumphreus of Spencer, Sue and her husband, John Gillmore of North Port, FL, and Phyllis and her husband, Walter Arnold of Cape Coral, FL; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by eight brothers; three sisters; one daughter, June; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
