Ivan B. Walker, 92, of Hawarden, died Saturday, Dec. 7 in a hospital in Hawarden.

Services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Dow Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Hansen officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery. Visitation was Monday in the funeral home.

Mr. Walker was born Oct. 2, 1893 in Silver City and came to the Hawarden area in 1912. He married Caroline Boeck, Sept. 20, 1916, in Hawarden. He farmed in Union County, SD, and later worked in construction and also for the Hallett Gravel Co. After retiring in 1958 he was well known for his gardening.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lance of Hawarden and Robert of Fort Dodge; a daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Virginia) Packard of Hawarden; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
