Hawarden Independent, March 7, 1929

The remains of Mrs. Fred Evans, who passed away on Wednesday of last week at the state hospital at Cherokee, were brought overland Saturday and interment was made in the family lot in Grace Hill Cemetery. Rev. Robt. H. Forrester, pastor of the Methodist Church, had charge of the services which were held at 2:30 p.m., at the grave. Her son, Robert Evans, of Chicago, came to attend the burial, but her husband, who is at Pasadena, Calif. was unable to come.
