32-Year-Old Man Dies Saturday

Harvey Van Woudenberg, 32, of Canton, died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds on Saturday, December 9, at a friend's residence in Canton, said the Lincoln County Sheriff's department.

Services will be held Wednesday, December 13 (today) at the Bethany Reformed Church at Canton with The Rev. Marvin Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery with the Porter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Harvey Van Woudenberg was born June 20, 1946, in Hudson. He married Margo Porter on April 2, 1966, in Inwood. He farmed in the Fairview area.

Survivors include the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Van Woudenberg of Inwood; a son, Scott, and a daughter, Leslie, of Bemidji, Minnesota; and a brother, Gerald, of Hudson.
