Anna Van Woudenberg, age 78, of Rock Valley, died Tuesday, August 8, 1995 at the Sioux Valley Hospital at Sioux Falls, SD of a heart attack. Funeral service was Thursday, August 10, at the First Reformed Church at Rock Valley. Burial followed at Valley View Cemetery at Rock Valley, IA. Rev. Harlan DeJong officiated. Visitation was Wednesday at the Porter Funeral Home at Rock Valley, Iowa.

Anna was born November 26, 1916, at Hancock, MN. She was the daughter of Herman and Josie (DeJager) Noordman. She married Joe Van Woudenberg March 28, 1934, in Fairview, SD. Together they farmed in the Fairview, SD and Inwood, IA area until retirement in 1984 when they moved to Rock Valley IA. She had been a Sunday school teacher at Fairview, SD and Canton, SD, for many years. At Rock Valley, she was an active member of the First Reformed Church including the choir and Eunice Circle.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Joe of Rock Valley; one son and his wife, Jerald and Linda Van Woudenberg of Canton, SD; two brothers, Marlin Noordman of Fullerton, CA, Gerald and his wife Phyllis Noordman of Enumclaw, WA; two sisters and their husbands, Eileen and Seebe Hamstra of Chandler, AZ, Carol and Ivan Crawford of Fullerton, CA; grandchildren and their spouses, Janet and Robert Hollingsworth of Saint Paul, MN, Leslie and Pete Simons of Seattle, WA, Scott Breitag of San Diego, CA; one step-grandchild, Daniel Wolf of Canton, SD.
