Services Held For Henry Van Woudenberg

Funeral services for Henry Van Woudenberg, 84, were held Monday, April 10, at The First Reformed Church in Inwood with the Rev. W. R. Kolenbrander officiating.

Prayer services were held from Porter Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with burial rites at 1:30 at Inwood, and interment in Valley View Cemetery in Rock Valley.

Mr. Van Woudenberg had been transferred to Valley Manor from the Sioux Center Hospital, and died there after an extended illness.

He was born in The Netherlands, Dec. 25, 1882 and after coming to America settled in the Inwood, Rock Valley area. He married Teunnie Verdoorn January 22, 1908.

Survivors inclulde the widow, two sons and two daughters, Joe of Fairview, S.D.; Henry, Tucson, Ariz; Mrs. Cornelius (Marie) Middle, Inwood, and Mrs. Jake (Elsie) Van Noort, Hawarden. Also eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Jake Westra, Hull and Mrs. Jake Schol, George.

Retired Farmer Succumbs Friday

Henry Van Woudenberg, 84, retired Rock Valley farmer, died: Friday at a Rock Valley nursing home after an extended illness. He was the father of Mrs. Jake Van Noort of Hawarden.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p. m. Monday at the First Reformed church at Rock Valley. Rev. H. W. Kolenbrander, pastor of the First Reformed church of Inwood, officiated. Burial was in Valley View cemetery at Rock Valley under the direction of the Porter Funeral home.

Mr. Van Woudenberg was born in The Netherlands and came to the United States as a young man. He married Teunnie Verdoorn on January 22, 1908 at Rock Valley.
