Mrs. A. Van Werven passed away at the Hull hospital on Saturday evening [December 13], following a major operation which she underwent Friday. Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon in the Boyden Reformed church with Rev. J. W. Brink officiating.

Her husband's obituary (Sioux Center News, Aug. 19, 1954) gives her full maiden name as Grace Van Bruggen and his full name as William Art Van Werven.
