The invalid son of G. Van Es living near Newkirk, died this week, and the Funeral was held at that city Thursday.
(This was found to be the son of Gerrit Van Es 1824-1898 and Teuntje Sterrenburg 1834-1895. In the obit in the Volksvriend (thanks to translation by Linda VanderLinden) Gerrit was noted to have 8 children, the youngest son then 26 years old was helpless, and taken care of by his sister. The other children in the family were Jane, Anna, John, Peter, ellie, Gerrit, Dirk and Lena.)
