Olive J. Erickson, age 82 of Alcester, died Sunday, April 11, 1993, at Bethesda Nursing Home in Beresford.

Services were held Wednesday, April 14, at Roseni Lutheran Church, rural Beresford. Burial was held in the church cemetery. Visitation was held at the Wass Funeral Home in Alcester.

Mrs. Erickson was born May 7, 1910, in Union County, the daughter of Ole and Gertrude (Sveegen) Olson. She attended country school in the Roseni area and graduated from Beresford High School. She married Paul E. Erickson March 3, 1933, in Elk Point. The couple farmed in the Garryowen area until 1965, when they moved into Alcester. He died January 4, 1983. She had worked at Otis Radio in Hawarden for 15 years.

Mrs. Erickson was a member of Roseni Lutheran Church and was active in the Ladies Aid and Quilting Circle.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Palmer and Janice of Irene and Jerome and Mary of Alcester; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth and her husband, Maynard Edman of Arlington and Julia Chaussee of Beresford.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald, Chester and Judine; and two sisters, Mabel and Ruby.

Memorials have been established in her home [i.e., name] with Roseni Lutheran Church of [and?] Bethesda Nursing Home.
