Robert G. Paramore, 82, of Quincy, Illinois, died January 19, in Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home by the Rev. Peter Bagley. Burial was in Greenmount Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 16, 1889 in Hawarden, son of John H. and Eva Gosting Paramore. On Jan. 16, 1923 he married Signa Caroline Ericson in Hawarden.

Mr. Paramore grduated from the University of Iowa in 1921 and worked as an accountant in Cedar Rapids. In 1931 he joined Central Fibre Products Company, at the time of its organization, as comptroller. CFPA became Packaging Corp. of America and he served as senior vice president and director of PCA from 1959 until retiring in February 1963.

Mr. Paramore attended First Union Congregational Church. He was a member of the YMCA Board of Directors, a member of the Quincy Country Club, and former member of the Rotary Club, Good Samaritan Home Board, Quincy Chamber of Commerce and the Illinois Director of Manufacturers Association from 1954-61.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert G. of Jefferson, Wisc. and Richard A. of Hutchinson, Kansas; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister.
