Robert L. Eslick, 70, of Elk Point, SD, died Tuesday, May 26, 1998, at his residence.

Services were at 10 a.m., Friday, May 29, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Elk Point, with Rev. Richard Wiekert officiating. Burial was in Elk Point Cemetery, with military rites.

Mr. Eslick was born December 24, 1927 in Hawarden. He moved to Elk Point as a child and graduated from Elk Point High School.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1946.

He married Joan Agee on December 6, 1947, in Elk Point. The couple resided in Elk Point. He was employed with Milwaukee Railroad, Teply's Gambles Hardware Store and the City of Elk Point, retiring in 1992.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 915, American Legion Bert L. Smith Post 134 and the Elk Point Country Club.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Charlotte and her husband, Gary Hillrichs of Akron, Marcia and her husband, David Howard, of Perry, and Robin Eslick, of Aurora; five grandchildren; a brother, James of Pittsburgh, PA; and a sister, Joanne Six of California.
