Ericson, Anna L., Mrs. Albin, 1888-1984

Anna L. Ericson, 96, of Alcester died Tuesday, March 27, 1984, in a nursing home in Alcester. Services were at 2 p.m. Friday, March 30, in the Big Springs Baptist Church, rural Alcester. The Rev. Ken Lewis officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of the Wass Funeral Home of Alcester.

Pallbearers were Barton Ericson, Gary Ericson, Michale McCue, Barrett Ericson, Alan Wetzel and Loyle Larson.

Mrs. Ericson, the former Anna Ericson, was born March 4, 1888, in Dakota Territory, Union County and lived most of her life in the Alcester area. She married Albin Ericson Oct. 31, 1910, at Big Springs. They farmed in Union County near Alcester. Mr. Ericson died in March 1926. She moved into Alcester in 1947 and entered the Morningside Manor Nursing Home in March 1983.

Survivors include three sons, Russell and Derwood, both of Hawarden, and Cecil of Akron; one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Myrtle) Newman of Hawarden; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Esther) Ericson of Glendale, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
