DIED IN WYOMING
Eric Ericson Suddenly Succumbs and is Brought Here for Burial

Erick Erickson, a brother of Mrs. J. O. Lind of this city, died at Manville, Wyo., Saturday, Dec. 24, from heart failure following an attack of the grip [usually meaning influenza]. The remains were brought to Hawarden for interment and the funeral was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Lind Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock.

The deceased was born in Sweden July 8, 1877, and came to the United States when ten years of age. He resided near Big Springs during his boyhood and then served two years in the Philippines during the Spanish-American war. Since then he has lived in Wyoming.

Those left to mourn his death are his mother, Mrs. Christine Erickson of Big Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Thos. Black of Wyoming and Mrs. J. O. Lind of Hawarden, and one brother, Lars D. Erickson of Big Springs. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. H. C. Nissen, pastor of the M. E. church of this city.
