SVERRE ERIKSEN DIES AT AGE 39 IN GLENDALE, CAL.

Sverre E. Eriksen, 39, of Glendale, Calif., son of Mr. and Mrs. John Eriksen of Hawarden, died last Thursday [Feb. 7] in a hospital following a heart attack.

He suffered the attack about a week and a half previously but seemingly was recovering. His brother, John Eriksen, was with him at his death.

Funeral services were held in Glendale Monday and burial was in that city. His sister, Mrs. Eva Hilt of San Francisco and his brothers, Erling of Pendleton, Ore., and John Eriksen, attended the funeral.

Mr. Eriksen was born in Trondheim, Norway, March 28, 1912. He came to America with his parents at the age of three and they settled in Minnesota. They came to Hawarden 32 years ago and he attended the Hawarden schools. Later he went to Le Mars to work.

While in Le Mars he married Miss Rose Feller in September, 1937. After his marriage he continued to live in Le Mars five years and then went to California.

Survivors are the widow; four children: Sonja Jo, 13, Thomas John, 11, Marilyn Margaret, 9, and Emy Gene, 1 1/2; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Eriksen of Hawarden; four sisters, Mrs. Thos. Dalton of Akron, Mrs. Ray Talsma of Scotland, S.D., Mrs. Julius Hilt of San Francisco and Mrs. Ted Youngkin of Chicago and two brothers, John Eriksen of Glendale, Calif., and Erling of Pendleton, Ore.

One brother, George, died in an accident while working on the railroad in the state of Washington and another brother died in his youth.
