BIG SPRINGS RESIDENT DIES
Funeral Services Held Monday Afternoon For Mrs. Anna Erickson Who Succumbed Friday Morning

Mrs. Anna Erickson, 60, of the Big Springs vicinity died in her sleep early last Friday morning [Oct. 18]. Death was due to a heart attack. The preceding day she had attended a Missionary society meeting at the Big Springs church.

Funeral services were held at the Big Springs Baptist church Monday afternoon with Rev. D. Miller, the pastor, in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Erickson was born in Wiby[?] Socken Narke, Sweden, January 21, 1886. She came to America in 1907 and the following January 28 she was married to Oscar F. Erickson. He preceded her in death 15 years ago. She was the mother of six children. A son Wallace died in infancy and Wendell died at the age of 10 as the result of burns he suffered when a lamp exploded. Mrs. Erickson and other members of the family were also burned at that time.

She is survived by four children, Mrs. Minnie Nylund and Walter and Morris Erickson of the Big Springs vicinity and Mrs. Margaret Binneboe of Sioux City; one sister, Mrs. Carl Strandberg of Mora, Minn., besides four sisters and four brothers in Sweden and three grandchildren.

She united with the Baptist church in Big Springs in 1919 and was a faithful worker in the church and Missionary society. She made a trip to her native land a number of years ago and was making plans for another visit to Sweden next spring.
