DEATH CLAIMS YOUNG MOTHER
Mrs. George Elmitt Passed Away at Sioux Rapids Aug. 27th

Mrs. George Elmitt of Sioux Rapids passed away at her home Sunday, Aug. 27th, following an illness of two years. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon of last week from the First Methodist church in Sioux Rapids, Rev. J. D. Wolcott officiating. Burial was made in Lone Tree cemetery.

Clara Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Williams, was born April 24, 1904, so was 29 years of age at the time of her death. She was united in marriage with George Elmitt May 17, 1926, and to this union were born three children, two of whom died at birth. One son, Robert George, aged 2, together with her husband, survive her. She also leaves to mourn her death her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Williams; two brothers, Faye Williams of Sioux Rapids, and three sisters, Mrs. Marie Venson and Alice Williams of Sioux Rapids and Mrs. Nick Sinns of Spencer. [yes, only one brother was named in the obit] Mrs. Elmitt was well known in Hawarden having visited here numerous times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Elmitt. Sincere sympathy is extended to the husband and small son in the loss of a wife and mother.

Mr. and Mrs. Sam Blair and Mrs. H. H. Elmitt of Hawarden attended the funeral as well as Mr. and Mrs. Steffen Madsen of Pocahontas, Iowa. Mrs. Madsen and Mrs. Blair are sisters of George Elmitt.
