Dick Eppinga, 78, of Rock Valley, Iowa, died Tuesday, April 18, 1989 in his home.

He was born Sept. 25, 1910, in Perkins, Iowa. He married Tena Kooima on Feb. 28, 1940, in Rock Valley. They farmed near Inwood, Iowa until 1950, when they moved to a farm near Rock Valley. In 1972, they retired and moved into town. He was a member of the Netherlands Reformed Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons: Jeffrey, Middleburg, Iowa, and Sydney, Rock Valley; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Mrs. Tuenis[Teunis?] (Alice) Van Middendorp, Rock Valley.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 21, 1989 in the Netherlands Reformed Church, Rock Valley, with burial in the Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley. Visitation was held at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.
