Died on Friday August 20th at her home in this city, Mrs. Te Grotenhuis. Deceassed was a true Christian lady, highly respected by all, and her sad death has cast a gloom over the entire community. She leaves a husband, a son and two daughters to mourn her death.
(This was Mrs. Rev. Derk Jan Te Grotenhuis nee Aaltje Johanna Van Berge b. Apr 28, 1839 s-Hertogenbosch N. Brabant, dau of Joahnnes Van Berge and Aaltje VerMeulen. She died Aug 20, 1897 buried in the Newkirk Cemetery. Her husband Rev. Derk Jan Te Grotenhuis born Aug 20, 1934 in Aalten, Neth. Married Dec 10, 1869 in Hertogenbosch. They came to the USA in 1895. Children were Aaltje/Ella Mrs. John Landhuis, Rev. Johannes Hendrikus Te Grotenhuis, and Sarah Mrs. Cornelius Kortlever born Oct 1874.)
