From the Alton Democrat of August 28, 1897 Hawarden News.
Mrs. A. Neil passed away last Friday. The funeral was held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. Milne, and the remains taken East to be laid by the side of her husband.
(In the 1895 census there was living in Hawarden the family of Charles Milne age 38 born England and wife Anna age 35 born at Clayton Co. IA and son Herbert age 2 born Sioux County IA.)
