HARRY VOETBERG LAST RITES HELD HERE ON FRIDAY

Funeral services for Harry Voetberg, 68, were held last Friday, December 21, at 1 p.m. in the home and at 1:30 in the Christian Reformed church. Rev. John Breuker of Sioux Center officiated. Burial was made in the Valley View cemetery. Mr. Voetberg died here on December 18.

Mr. Voetberg was born in The Netherlands on October 9, 1883. He came with his parents to the United States in 1896 and on February 12, 1908 married the former Anna Boxum at Downs, Kansas. To this union 10 children were born. One son preceded Mr. Voetberg in death. The Voetberg family moved to the Rock Valley area in 1933.

Survivors include the widow and the following children: Hattie (Mrs. John Overweg) of Rock Valley; Margaret (Mrs. G. Overweg) of New Holland, S.D.; Rosie (Mrs. Gerrit Van De Weg) of West Olive, Mich.; Albert of Rock Valley; Ralph of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Johanna (Mrs. J. Hengeveld) of Grand Rapids, Mich; Everett of Sioux Center; Benjamin of Rock Valley; Helen (Mrs. Pete Boer) of Rock Valley and 23 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Herman Van Galen, Louis Kooi, Wm. Vugteveen, John Dirksen, Clarence Kempema and S. Bolkema.
