Harold Westerman 92, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Henri etta Schemper) Westerman passed away Sunday, June 28, 1992 at the Prairie View Retirement Home,Sanborn, Iowa. He was born January 23, 1900 in Ratoon, New Mexico. He married Gertrude Smit February 2, 1927 at Hospers, Iowa, she died October 19, 1984.
They farmed a number of years near Long Island, Kansas then Sheldon and Sanborn, Iowa. He was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church of Sheldon and was a resident of the Prairie View Retirement Home in Sanborn.
Survivors include four daughters, Henrietta, Mrs. Robert Vander Ploeg, Ada, Michigan, Wilma, Mrs. Jake Brouwer, Downey, California, Catherine, Mrs. William Hengeveld, Sheldon, Iowa, Jayne, Mrs. Loren Bittner, Sioux Fails, South Dakota, one son, Harvey, Hartley, Iowa, one sister, Nettie, Mrs. Bill Poppema, Sanborn, Iowa, one brother, Harry, Oakley, California, seventeen grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 3 stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters and two brothers.
