ALICE BOSCH TEUNE was born on March 13, 1915 at Larchwood, Iowa the daughter of Teunis and Gertrude (Vande Kamp) Bosch. She grew up in Lyon County and also lived for a time in California. On November 14, 1935 she was united In marriage to John Teune at the home of her parents near Rock Rapids. After their marriage they lived in various Lyon County locations before moving to Steen, Minnesota In 1958. Together they farmed In the Steen area until retiring into Steen In 1980. DurIng her life, Alice was an active member of the Steen Reformed Church, was a member of the Senior Citizens and the Tuff Nursing Home Auxiliary. Last Sunday Alice died at the Luverne Community Hospital in Luverne following a three month illness. At the time of her death she was seventy—four.
Surviving are her husband, John of Steen; and seven children, Gertrude, Mrs. Harvey Rozeboom of Hills,Minnesota; Betty, Mrs. Gilbert Teunissen of Alvord, Iowa;
Peter 1. Teune of Steen, Minnesota; Teunis J. Teune of Chino, California; Elsie, Mrs. Eibert Boeve of Springfield, Missouri; Johnnie 0. Teune of Pine River,Minnesota; and Brenda, Mrs. Merle Martens of Beaver Creek,Minnesota. Also surviving are twenty—six grandchildren,seventeen great—grandchildren along with a sister, Grace,
Mrs. Neil Visser of Upland, California and a brother,Peter Bosch of Ontario, California.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother, a sister and two grandchildren.
Blessed be her memory.
Following the graveside services there will be lunch served in the fellowship hall for all relatives and friends.
