Ann Marie Budden, age 92, of Sanborn, Iowa, formerly of Ashton, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Northwest Iowa Health Center in Sheldon.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 13, 2007, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ashton, Father Clair L. Boes officiating. Burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Ashton. Visitation will be Thursday, April 12, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ashton, from 2:00 to 8:30 P.M., with the family present from 7:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. Scriptural Wake Service at 7:30 P.M., all at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ashton.

Ann Marie Budden was born near Alton, Iowa, on April 23, 1914, the daughter of Anthony and Marie (Steichen) Klein. She grew up and attended rural schools near Alton, Iowa. The oldest of seven, she helped care for her younger siblings. On June 20, 1938, she was united in marriage to Edwin Budden at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton, Iowa. After their marriage, they lived on a farm near Granville, Iowa, for eight years. In 1946, they moved to a farm near Ashton, Iowa. Edwin passed away on February 13, 1986. Ann Marie continued residing on the farm until 2005, at which time she moved to Prairie View at Sanborn, Iowa.

She was a long-time member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ashton, Iowa. Ann enjoyed her flowers and quilt making. She loved to go antiquing with her sister, Aggie. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ann passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at the Northwest Iowa Health Center in Sheldon, Iowa.

Left to cherish her memory are her son Dan Budden and his wife Norma of Sanborn, IA; daughter Diane Gipple and her husband Kenny of Atlantic, IA; son Robert Budden of Ashton, IA; son Bill Budden and his wife Sue of Ashton, IA; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren: Ken Gipple and his wife Patricia and their children Benjamin and Anna of Lindenhurst, IL; Kimberly Willis-Gipple and her children Andrew and Holly of Kansas City, MO; Shelly Schutte and her husband Neil and their children Kaleb and Emily of Sibley, IA; Nathan Budden and his significant other Becky Brown of Arlington, NE; Matthew Budden and his wife Trista and their children Aubren, Jeanetta and Tamson of Sanborn IA; and Brandy Budden of Ashton, IA; one sister Agnes Vonderharr of Granville, IA; three brothers Anton Klein of Adrian, MN, Gerald Klein of Granville, IA, George Klein and his wife Mary Jane of Belgium, WI.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Budden; two grandsons Daniel Lee Budden Jr. and Timothy Ray Budden; her parents Anthony and Mary Klein; and two sisters Marian Klein and Esther Ahlers.
