Sync Syhesma, 73, of Sioux Center, died Thursday May 21, 1998 at his home.
He was born to Sync and Christina Sybesma. on December 11, 1924 in Sioux Center. He received his education to the 8th grade at Perkins and Hull Christian School.
He married Alyda Buyert on February 26, 1947. They lived in Sheldon and worked at Land’O’Lakes. Alyda passed away in 1992. He married Margaret Meendering on May 15, 1993. He moved to Sioux Center and worked at the Farmers Coop.
Sync was a member of the Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center.
He is survived by: His wife, Margaret; 7 children and 4 stepdaughters; Chris (Wayne) Jungers, of Boyden; Gracia (Claude) Rees, of Greenfield; Daryl Sybesma & Teresa Kastens of St. Joseph, Mo; Lauren and LaVonna Sybesma. of Redding, CA; LaVonne (Mark) Muhs, of Mountain View, AR; Cathy (Gary) Schmidt, of Payson AZ; Elroy & Mais Syhesma, of Sheldon; Bev (Dennis) Jansen, of Sioux Center; Gail (Tim) Kamstra, of Sheldon; Leah (David) Samudio of Surprize, AZ; and Kristin (Keith) Kleinwolterink of Sheldon; 15 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 4 step-great grandchildren; Three sisters: Betsy Sybesma, of Sioux Center; Margaret Altena, of Sioux Center and Chris Rens, of Hull; Two brothers: Bill Sybesma of Sioux Center and Jon Syhesma of Sioux Center. He was preceded in death by his first wife Alyda; three brothers: Clarence, David. and Stan, one sister Gertrude; and his parents.
