Sidney Eisma,73, of rural Ireton died suddenly Saturday, May 11, at a hospital in Orange City. Servicves were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, at Christian Reformed Church in Ireton with the Rev. Wybren Oord officicating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton.

Sidney was born February 25, 1918, in Orange City. He married Minnie Sinkey December 12, 1940, at Ireton. The couple farmed near Ireton their entire married life. He was a member of Christian Reformed Church of Ireton.

Suriviors include his wife; five sons,Le Roy and Robert both of Ireton, Donald of Apple Valley, Minn., Bradley of Orange City and Michael of Le Mars; two daughters Mary Lou Obbink of Orange City and Barbara De Kraker of Caledonia Mich.; three brother, Peter and Allen both of Ireton and Eugene of Inwood; a sister, Sadie De Vries of Denver; 17 Grandchildren; and two great grandchildren
