Death of J. W. Boggess. J. W. Boggess whos in the early days was a contractor and builder at Hull, died at Sheldon Wednesday. His remains were broght to Hull for interment. Mr. Boggess and family are known all over this part of Iowa for of late years. In late year he had lost the use of his mind. He leaves besides his wife, several grown up son and daughters as follows; Wm, John, Warren and Lewis, Mrs. Chas. Ballard of Sheldon, Mrs. Alma Holmes of Sheldon, Mrs. Will Snyder of Alvord, Mrs. Sybil McAllister of Mt. Vernon, SD; and the daughters Cappa and Josie whose names since their marriage we have not learned.
(The county headstone list show John W. Boggess b. 11 Jan 1826 died 8 Feb 1905, 2nd wife Mary J. Kenyon b. 1 Dec 1846 died 2 Aug 1913 both buried in Hope Cemetery at Hull. From Ancestry.com his first wife was Ann Elizabeth 1829-1864, With her he had children Mary 1849, William 1851, JOhn 1856, Jennie 1859. With he and second wife the children listed in the 1895 census were Warren, Louis, Martha, Cyntola? 11.
