Wilfred (Bill) Wallenburg was born June 23, 1919 at Alvord, IA, son of Wilfred and Gertrude (Blomendaal) Wallenburg. He married Della Groen December 27, 1940 at Rock Valley. Together they farmed near Inwood until 1956 began farming near Hills, MN. They retired to Rock Valley in 1980. Della died February 26, 1982. Bill married Jeanet Van Hill on December 10, 1983 at Artesia, CA. Together they lived in Rock Valley. Bill died Wednesday, September 22, 1993 at his home at the age of 74.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Jeanet; 4 daughters and their husbands, Gertrude and Ronald Van Veldhuizen of Rock Valley, Carol and Norman Nelson of Magnolia, MN, Wanita and Howard Koedam of Larchwood, IA, Arlene and Gary Esselink of Hills, MN; 2 step-daughters, Cnristina Cook of Salt Lake City, Utah, Anna Jean and nor husband Jim Blankenship of Beliflower, CA; 4 step-sons and their wives, Jim and Patti Van Hill of Anaheim, CA, Harvey and Terry Van Hill of Hesperia, CA, Glen and Carol Van Hill of Buena Park, CA, Michael Van Hill of Beilflower, CA; 3 sisters, Mrs. Cornie (Katherine) Pus of Rock Valley, Mrs. Andrew (Johanna) Boon of Rock Valley, Mrs. Herman (Gertrude) Rus of Corsica, SD; 10 grandchildren; 24 step-grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Della; 2 brothers, John and Ton~ and 3 infant brothers.
