Lenora A. Reid, 95, or Sioux Center, IA, and formerly of Ireton, IA, died early on Tuesday, January 2, 1996, in the Sioux Center Community Hospital. Services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton on Saturday morning, the Reverend Perry Schefelker officiating, with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton, under the direction Of the Porter-Dow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Reid was born on February 22, 1900, in Ireton, the daughter of John Sr. and Augusta (Dittmer) Vlotho. She was baptized on April 8, 1900, at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Ireton and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton on March 28, 1915. She married Charles E. Reid on January 21, I921 and they lived in Ireton where he was a self-employed carpenter. He died September 6, 1940. Mrs. Reid moved to the Health Care Center in Sioux Center on September 2,1988.

She was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church, where she served on the Altar Guild several times and was a charter member of the Ladies Aid. She was a charter member of Bertram Post 276, American Legion Auxiliary at Ireton.

Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Thelma Lea and Lynn Walker of Waterville, KS, and Helen and Jack Ping and Marilyn and Melvin Torwelle, all of Ireton; a son and his wife, Eugene, and Lorene Reid of Ireton; a daughter-in-law. Jaucile Reid of Griffin, GA; 12 grand-children; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William Vlotho and John Vlotho, Jr.; and a son, Darrell C. Reid
